This unit can detect blood flow to a depth of approximately 5 cm in the arms and legs to locate vessels, take weak pulses and assess vessel patencies. Replaces the stethoscope when taking systolic blood pressure in patients in shock, infants, obese patients and others with weak or difficult-to-hear Korotkoff sounds. May be used with one or two stethoscope headsets, or with an optional speaker/amplifier or tape recorder. Includes a binaural stethoscope, and one 9-volt battery.
